love of tunnel

cat plugs tunnel

I was going to try to explain why this little cat tunnel is upside down and situated where it is, but it's a long story and it's not that interesting. I would try to explain why Alice decided to curl herself into a tiny tunnel-filling ball, but I'm afraid it surpasses understanding.

Cats often assume a somewhat spherical aspect
in the absence of CEF (Cat Elongation Factor).
Cats generate a small amount of CEF on their own,
but purrfur to frequent environments where there
is an abundance of CEF (such as laps, sunny
windows, fireplaces, radiant baseboards,
clothes driers, sleeping heads and faces, etc).

In the absences of externally available CEF, these
spherical cats will seek cavities that closely
match their own form. It is theorized that this
allows them more lossless utilization of their own
feebly produced CEF.
