He likes to show me photos he’s taken.

I’ve found cygwin has lessened my need for putty, Vim and WinSCP since it has all that functionality built in. But yeah, I can’t think of anything I’d add to your list.

And hurray, I’ve been given a new workstation to put Linux on and use instead!
